Overview

*This position is based at the Saint Mary’s site in Georgia*

 

The successful candidate for this position will be able to perform Material Control and Support functions in support of D707 Alteration Installation Teams and Manufacturing Shop.

 

Material Coordinators are required to receive, identify, locate, and retrieve materials.

In this role the successful candidate must be prepared to travel and work overtime as required.

 

Additionally, the successful candidate may be required to travel to different EB sites or Shipyards and must be prepared to work any shift that may be required. Furthermore the selected candidate may be required to physically lift items, up to 40 pounds.

 

This position has potential for cross training in other duty areas, such as Tool Issue and Inventory, handling Hazardous Materials and transportation duties.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ year experience in Warehousing and Material Handling supporting steel trades construction
  • 1+ year experience with material ordering and inventory control computer systems
  • Current forklift operator license or ability to obtain forklift license
  • Must be willing to travel and work overtime as required

Preferred:

  • Warehousing and/or material handling and support services experience
  • Experience with material ordering and inventory control computer systems
  • An understanding of material documents including receipts, shipping documents, etc. Oracle experience would be desirable
