Please contact: maddison.montgomery@catawba.com   Job Summary: The Security Officer II ensures a safe environment for customers and associates, comply with confidentiality regulations regarding security information, assist in the protection of Company.  assets, patrons, and associates and provide first aid care to guests and Associates in accordance with the policies and procedures.   Responsibilities: Greetings customers positively and timely, treating each person as an individual and in a professional manner.   Patrol the casino floor, hotel areas, and surrounding property to ensure a safe and secure environment. Monitor surveillance systems, alarms, and access control points. Respond to disturbances, medical emergencies, accidents, and other incidents in a calm and professional manner. Enforce casino policies, procedures, and applicable gaming and safety regulations. Assist with the protection and transport of chips, cash, and other assets. Write detailed incident and activity reports. Work with law enforcement or emergency responders when necessary. Provide guest assistance and information when needed, maintaining a high standard of customer service. Control access to restricted areas and verify credentials. Observe for signs of fraud, theft, cheating, or suspicious behavior, and report findings promptly. Demonstrates skill in dealing with customer complaints, using active listening.   skills to defuse difficult and sometimes emotionally charged situations to maintain the customer’s good will.   Perform as a team member and assist fellow associates to ensure smooth operation.   Ability to investigate assigned level of incidents and compose written reports.   Ensure that identification is checked for proper admittance to the gaming floor.   Maintains crowd control as required.   Defuse customer profanity to ensure a friendly environment.   Role model operational standards, interacting positively through relationships with guests and fellow associates displaying genuine concern and mutual respect for people’s needs Role model the Guest Path Universal Service Standards and Operational Standards, interacting positively through relationships with guests and fellow associates displaying genuine concern and mutual respect for people’s needs.   Respond to medical calls and provide first aid as needed.   Assist in training new hires assigned to shift.   Understand the goals and vision of the organization and demonstrate commitment to those.    Setting goals in terms of individual and team performance. Preform other duties as assigned QualificationsQualifications: High School Diploma or GED equivalent; or a minimum of three years of casino Security, military, or police, Law enforcement or related experience a plus.   Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Catawba Gaming License. Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.     Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:  Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.   Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing. Ability to work an alternate schedule as needed including but not limited to nights, holidays, and weekends.   Ability to work in a loud fast-paced environment (may occasionally be exposed to secondhand cigarette smoke).   Physical Requirements   While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms; bend to open/use lower drawers or cabinetry; to talk, hear, and see. Occasional periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
