Systems Analyst

Position Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Management:
  • Oversee the life cycle of on-premises physical servers, networked storage, and backup systems within the data center and remote branches. This includes installation, configuration, upgrades, and migrations to new platforms.
  • Use hypervisor technologies to build and maintain virtual servers and appliances across multiple data centers.
  • Provision and manage virtual resources in a hosted cloud environment.
  • Utilize storage replication and recovery tools for multiple data centers to ensure business continuity.
  • Install and use backup technologies to create and maintain routine server backups for restoration purposes.
  • Participate in system design and architecture discussions.
  • Translate business needs into technical requirements for hardware implementations.
  • Create and maintain accurate documentation for all supported systems.
  • Work closely with the Information Security team to implement protective measures across infrastructure platforms.
  • Participate in routine disaster recovery exercises to run systems from an alternate data center location and maintain associated documentation.

• Infrastructure Support:
  • Provide Tier 2 support to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to server and storage equipment.
  • Monitor infrastructure performance, identify issues, and implement improvements.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
  • Work efficiently with U.S.-based and global vendors.

• Project Management:
  • Lead or participate in infrastructure-related projects, including hardware installations, upgrades, and migrations.
  • Work with IT Project Manager to define project scopes, create project plans, and manage timelines.
  • Coordinate with other IT analysts and business professionals.
  • Identify and manage risks within the department
