About the Role:

Summary:

Assembly Production Operator is responsible for work that includes perform duties on the floor to meet the production requirement. Ensuring high yield and productivity for the cell production, this position will also need to interact with other team members, customers and vendors to solve complex and/or urgent problems while working as a team to achieve the production targets, meet company requirement, product standers and maintain a safe work environment.

 

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Perform duties of preparing production floor and production machines for production 
  • Perform duties of Loading & unloading production materials to the production machines
  • Perform duties to the progress of production by maintaining the production standers
  • Prepare the Production materials need to maintain production and reduce down time
  • Report production issues on a daily basis (e.g., safety accidents, quality issues, abnormal drop in yield, vision system and operation ratio)
  • Inspect operation conditions in every stage of production
  • Perform duties and check whether semi-products comply with quality requirements including process and appearance specifications
  • Perform Preventive maintenance cleaning activity to the machines to reduce down time 
  • Perform duties and audit to the cell manufacturing process to ensure compliance of process regulations regarding the cell production process 
  • Perform cleaning duties to their station, Equipment and any cleaning tasks assigned by supervisor or the management team
  • Maintain clean and organized station at all time by utilizing 5S
  • Take follow-up measures to deal with the production issues/improvements
  • Adhere production standards (e.g. work instructions, BOM, production/quality check sheets, machine/tool/accessory maintenance standards)
  • Perform duties to maintain the speed of the unit manufacturing processes 
  • Take action and follow-up measures to deal with the quality issues 
  • Respond to customer audits and take appropriate measures to meet customer's product specifications and standards
  • Maintain quality fluctuation (especially after changing tools) and prevent/alarm quality issues to reduce machines down time
  • Maintain the production assets (equipment, materials, supplies & tools) regarding the cell production operations process
  • Continuously improve the loss of the processes in production 
  • Improve production environment in light of the 3R (Right materials, Right Quantity, Right position) and 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain)
  • Maintain record of the consumption and inventory of the raw material for the cell process
  • Maintain accessory equipment including pallets, lifts, plates, pallet jacks, tools & molds
  • Complete check sheets on hourly base, shift base, as needed or assigned by supervisor 
  • Report production activities/results/indications on a daily basis, as needed
  • Respond to ISO/IATF certification process and customer gate evaluation
  • Perform other duties & tasks as assigned

 Safety  Compliance:

  • Must wear company-provided uniform and PPE including safety shoes, helmet, safety glasses, clinical masks, respirators (must pass fit test & medical questionnaire), and portable gas measuring device
  • Clean suite, safety shoes, gloves, hat and mask are requirement at all time, more PPE may be required as need based on your specific area 
  • Will adhere to all safe work procedures as outlined in company policies, Lockout/Tag out Policy, Confined Space policy and any safety requirements 
  • Support countermeasure plan and take follow-up measures regard preventing safety accidents in the production line and maintain a safe work place environment 
  • Ensure fellow operators are trained regularly and appropriately regarding potential safety risks and prevention measures
  • Personal cell phones, EarPods and/or any electronic personal devise are prohibited in that production floor at all time 

Production Quality: 

  • Perform process preventive testing to ensure production quality & production standards
  • Document and report issues identified in the process of test and inspection
  • Adhere and Perform quality control processes, Report any quality issues immediately 
  • Monitor processes for any up normality, performs continuous image inspections and visual quality checks of the products to ensure quality standards are met by Measure the collected sample with the measurement tools

 Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED or other related field of study
  • Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience or related industry
  • Communicate and process good verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to Work in a team environment & effectively communicate, Teamwork skills required
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional production members 

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Able to read and write in English
  • Experience in a battery manufacturing industry
  • Basic understanding of troubleshooting 

 

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull and reach overhead.
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
  • May occasionally left and/or move up to up to 40 pounds.
  • Lift arms above shoulder level
  • Must be able to regularly stand, walk, sit, talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms to include stoop, kneel, bend or crawl.
  • Must be able to work 8-12 hours per day and up to 5-7 days per week based on operational needs.

Work Environment:

  • Must wear company-provided uniform and PPE including safety shoes, helmet, safety glasses, clinical masks, respirators (must pass fit test & medical questionnaire), and portable gas measuring device
  • Usual production environment and construction sites work environment
  • Risks include noise (above 90 dB in compressor room), high temperatures (104–122°F in various rooms), and potential exposure to hazardous materials (e.g., heating medium oil, NMP, water treatment chemicals)
