Description
FUNCTION:
Non-exempt position responsible for performing maintenance and repairs of plant electrical equipment, instrumentation and controls.
DUTIES:
Works under general supervision to perform varying tasks such as:
路 Utilize electrical skills to ensure safe and efficient plant operation.
路 Inspect, maintain, repair and overhaul electrical and electromechanical equipment.
路 Install new electrical and electronic equipment and electrical wiring.
路 Maintain and repair electrical and electronic systems for facilities and equipment.
路 Install and maintain process control instrumentation systems and devices (Q1 & non-Q1).
路 Lead assignments for other electricians.
路 Define material requirements for assigned tasks and arrange procurement.
路 Train apprentice-level electricians in electrical discipline.
路 Demonstrate adequate mechanical knowledge.
路 Perform preventive/corrective maintenance.
路 Operate lifting equipment (i.e., lift truck, pallet mover, etc.).
路 Analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action.
路 Perform all work in compliance with applicable codes, standards, safety and environmental regulations in addition to company policies and procedures.
路 Employ good housekeeping skills throughout the facility.
路 Perform other duties as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Continuous field/facility work required where there is potential for exposure to radiation, noise, dust and hot and cold temperatures. Climbing, walking and lifting will be normal daily requirements.
Requirements
路 High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
路 Journeyman-level knowledge and experience in electrical trade.
路 Skills in Computer Aided Design (CAD) software and Microsoft Office software preferred.
路 Ability to work from equipment manuals, blueprints, shop drawings and sketches with little direction.
路 Knowledge of applicable laws, codes and regulations.
路 Knowledge of electronic technology; including theory, application and operation of complex equipment.
路 Experience in general maintenance and mechanical trade.
