62-013 – Network/System Administrator II
Position Overview
Sandy Mac Evolution LLC is seeking a Network/System Administrator II to support Department of Defense Special Access Program environments at Kirtland AFB, New Mexico.
The selected candidate will organize, install, operate, and support government computer systems, networks, network segments, intranets, and related data communication systems. The position supports day-to-day IT operations for Collateral, SCI, and SAP environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute day-to-day management and operation of systems and networks with minimal supervision.
- Manage commercial and government-off-the-shelf products supporting system security and operational performance.
- Follow Operations and Maintenance checklists and maintain associated Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Operate enterprise security monitoring and SIEM tools.
- Create and tailor event alarms, rules, and summary reports.
- Assist with analysis of technical risks associated with emerging cybersecurity tools and processes.
- Participate in security incident response activities as required.
- Support Microsoft Windows Server and desktop environments.
- Support Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments as required.
- Support Microsoft Hyper-V, VMware, ESXi, Xen, and other virtualization technologies.
- Support enterprise networking, firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and vulnerability assessment tools.
- Support Group Policy management and configuration.
- Perform scripting and automation where appropriate.
- Support WSUS and/or YUM patch deployment methodologies.
- Support SQL Server, Tomcat, IIS, and related enterprise applications.
- Support Active Directory and Microsoft Office environments.
- Support ACAS, Nessus, SCAP, SIEM, LogRhythm, and related cybersecurity tools.
- Provide technical support in a customer service environment.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and identify opportunities to automate repetitive processes.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of related experience.
- SAP experience required.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop and server operating systems.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Server.
- Working knowledge of Cisco networking and switching technologies.
- Working knowledge of virtualization technologies.
- Working knowledge of LAN and WAN technologies.
- Working knowledge of communication security policies and integration.
- Working knowledge of RMF, Common Criteria, and system security policy.
- Current relevant experience with PL2 and PL3 network environments or systems.
- Experience applying industry standards and best practices in enterprise Windows environments.
- Familiarity with DoD policies governing system and network administration.
- Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in a related area or equivalent experience.
- A Bachelor’s degree may be considered equivalent to four years of experience.
Certification Requirements
- Must meet applicable DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technician Level II certification requirements within six months of hire.
Security Clearance Requirements
- Active Top Secret clearance required.
- Must possess or be eligible for SCI access.
- Must be eligible for access to Special Access Program information.
- Must be willing to submit to a Counterintelligence Polygraph.
