What You'll Do

  • Handle a broad range of New Mexico civil litigation matters
  • Manage pre-litigation and litigation files from case assessment through resolution
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, correspondence, demand letters, and other legal documents
  • Advise clients on strategy, risks, timelines, and next steps
  • Represent clients in hearings, conferences, mediations, and court proceedings
  • Support matters involving real estate, business disputes, contracts, and general civil litigation
  • Assist with probate-related matters when and where experience allows
  • Conduct legal research and provide practical legal analysis
  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and firm leadership
  • Help grow and strengthen the firm's New Mexico practice

What We're Looking For

  • Active New Mexico Bar admission
  • 3+ years of legal experience
  • Civil litigation experience
  • Experience with real estate, business, contract, or commercial disputes
  • Ability to manage pre-litigation and litigation matters independently
  • Strong writing, research, analytical, and communication skills
  • Excellent judgment and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Team-oriented and adaptable mindset

Preferred Experience

  • Real estate litigation & business litigation
  • Contract & commercial disputes
  • Probate & guardianship or conservatorship
  • General civil litigation & administrative or regulatory matters
  • Court appearances, hearings, mediations, or trial preparation

Criminal or family law experience is welcomed as part of a broader background, but this position is primarily focused on civil, real estate, business, and related litigation matters
