SAIC is seeking a Space Systems Engineer with Model-Based Engineering experience to join our team supporting the Space Systems Command. The ideal candidate can translate the customer’s needs into technical requirements and specifications so the team can deliver a customer focused engineering solution.

In this role, the systems engineer will support development and definition, including performing risk assessments, management of interfaces, technical planning, requirements verification and involvement in systems architecture development. The selected candidate will merge MBSE and systems-of-systems engineering and integration to create MBSE models that drive integration. Additionally, the candidate needs to be experienced in providing support in systems/subsystem integration and test while working closely with program management to assure complete program integrity. This is a fast pace / high temp position working out of Kirtland, AFB New Mexico with exciting opportunities to grow your career at SAIC.Â

Fun stuff you will do:
- Designing, developing, and supporting model-based systems to support a variety of systems
- Developing and improving Systems Engineering processes for the program that are appropriate for all levels of system development
- Effectively communicating with all levels of the organization to determine process needs and to support other engineers as a model-based systems SME
- Partnering with other Systems Engineers to design full life-cycle systems engineering processes that include documentation, workflow automation, efficiency measurement, bi-directional traceability
