SAIC is seeking a lifecycle manager (LCM) with experience in sustainment, systems, and/or network engineering and who possesses the ability to work with satellite ground system owners and cross functional teams (e.g., engineering, configuration, supply chain, program control) to develop hardware and software sustainment plans. The LCM will play an active role in determining quantity and frequency of purchasing and recapitalization of resources across multiple satellite ground systems at multiple locations within the Space System Command, Innovation and Prototyping Directorate. This position is in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
The Lifecycle Manager is expected to operate with a high degree of independence, proactively seeking out information from diverse sources and stakeholders. This individual will not wait for direction, but will anticipate needs, identify gaps, and take initiative to gather, analyze, and apply information to drive program success. The LCM will update key tracking files, maintain the Power BI dashboard, and continuously look for opportunities to improve processes and enhance the dissemination of relevant information across the organization.
Specific responsibilities include:
Coordinate and align lifecycle management processes to those of engineering and functional operations to sustainment efforts.
Work independently, demonstrating initiative and self-direction in all aspects of lifecycle management.
Proactively identify, collect, and synthesize information from internal and external sources to support sustainment activities.
Maintain and enhance the Power BI dashboard, using insights to inform stakeholders and drive decision-making.
Actively seek opportunities to improve lifecycle management processes and the flow of information, recommending and implementing enhancements.
Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to cross-functional teams and leadership.
Integrate with Task Order integrated product teams (IPT)
Facilitate workshops and lessons learned sessions, sharing information and best practices.
Analyze all hardware and software maintenance, serviceability, end of service, and end of life
Work with logisticians to manage end-to-end hardware inventory in the warehouse, tracking all equipment from initial delivery through final disposal.
Assist with quantifying RMA measurements for schedule and cost impacts, quantifying and qualifying opportunities to improve and/or expand capabilities by recapitalization, tech-refresh and/or refurbishment
Facilitate LCM related lessons learned/after action reviews with internal and external customers
Create program level metrics (e.g. 30-60-90, EOL/EOS, Maintenance Cycle, RMA)
