Job Duties

  • Use a Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) electric arc welding process to weld parts to print specifications.
  • Inspect parts per print specifications.
  • Set-up and adjust welder and fixtures to print specifications.
  • Use a carbon arc air gouging and cutting process for rework.
  • Grind and deburr parts to production traveler and print specifications.
  • Rotate to one of 16 various weld stations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization daily of the work area.
  • Comply with all applicable Occupational, Environmental, Health and Safety standards, as well as Crown’s safety rules and regulations for each task performed.
  • Assist with the training of departmental employees.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Related work experience preferred. Ability to read, analyze blueprints, understand weld symbols, remember, analyze, observe.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions.
  • Strong organizational skills and understanding basic math (including decimals, fractions, and the ability to convert between metric and standard).
