Baker

Position Summary: The Baker is responsible for the production of sweet dessert baked goods and savory casseroles and other dishes for PHR customers and catering orders. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Obtain complete knowledge of the menu
• Prepare baked goods such as cakes, pies, cookies, dessert bars, and casseroles and other dishes
• Prepare and grill sandwiches as needed
• Take customer orders and create future catering orders
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Restock supplies and ingredients as needed
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills
• Demonstrate 100% commitment to guest satisfaction
• Properly train on all tasks before performing them
• Observe sanitation and health guidelines including strictly following proper hand-washing techniques
• Assist other departments within the restaurant when needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prior baker experiences working in a restaurant or deli setting preferred
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs.
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Personal hygiene and food safety mindedness is of the utmost importance.
