Job Responsibilities Â
Staffing of the volunteer office –assist with volunteers’ questions, disseminate packets and volunteer uniforms, answer phones, run errands, etc. Â
Manage volunteer hours, schedules and any edits in Volgistics, the volunteer database.Â
Staff volunteer events including our Friday and Saturday morning Coffee Talks, Recognition Event, etc.Â
Produce volunteer packets, including badges, directory, handbook and other materials.Â
Assist with the coordination and production of the Welcome Back Reception and the Annual Recognition Events.Â
Assist with the maintenance and coordination of files for the volunteer organization; complete data entry as is needed.Â
Assist with Development Event preparation such as printing and stuffing nametags, assist with set-up and breakdown of events.Â
Assist the Director of Volunteer Services in on-site volunteer management.Â
Assisting with Development Events – Guest check-ins, etc.Â
Assist Donor Relations team as needed with signed program books and acknowledgement letters.Â
Additional duties and errands may be required.Â
Required Education and Experience
QualificationsÂ
Strong communication, interpersonal, customer service, and problem-solving skills.Â
A professional demeanor with the ability to exercise sound judgment and diplomacy. Â
Excellent written and oral communication skills.Â
Experience using Volgistics or a similar volunteer management system a plus.Â

 Must be available during BSAV (Boston Symphony Orchestra Association of Volunteers) hours:Â
Wednesdays and Thursdays: 12:00 – 5:00pmÂ
Fridays: 12:00 – 8:00pmÂ
Saturdays: 9:00am – 2:30pmÂ
Sundays: 12:00 – 2:30pmÂ
Pay Rate Range: $18.00 - $18.50
