Part Time Cashier

The Cashier is responsible for register transactions involving the sale and/or return of merchandise. Essential duties include projecting a positive representation of Westlake Ace Hardware, greeting customers, clearing checkout lines efficiently, answering calls and pages, communicating issues to management, building product knowledge, assisting with pricing, stocking, marking and bagging merchandise, following cash register transaction procedures, balancing the register drawer, adhering to store programs and promotions, participating in meetings, maintaining front end appearance and upkeep, assisting with impulse counters and merchandise rotation, stocking ads and supplies, decorating the front end, calling for cart pickups, informing management about merchandise returns, and performing other assigned duties. The role requires exhibiting core values such as Service, Passion, Respect, Integrity, Teamwork, and Excellence. Minimum qualifications include a High School or GED equivalent, cashier and customer service experience preferred, and physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 lbs, and climb.
