Senior Security Officer (Sr. Mobile Advisor)
This position serves as a Senior Security Officer, also known as a Senior Mobile Advisor, and is an hourly, non-exempt role reporting to the Safety, Security and Transportation Manager.

This is not a passive security position. It is a front-line leadership role responsible for maintaining a safe, structured, and accountable environment while supervising Security and Transportation staff on assigned shifts. The Senior Security Officer is expected to lead by example, reinforce standards, and support both staff and students through professionalism, consistency, and sound judgment.
You will set the tone for your shift. You will hold the line on safety, accountability, and professionalism. You will help guide students toward better decisions, personal responsibility, and positive growth while ensuring staff remain aligned with center expectations and procedures.
This role requires leadership presence, consistency, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. You will actively monitor center activity, respond to incidents and behavioral concerns, supervise staff performance, and engage with students in a way that reinforces respect, discipline, accountability, and independent living skills.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Demonstrates and abides by Covenant Learning Solutions Values and operating principles.
- Tours the center periodically to insure a continual awareness of center activity.
- In the absence of the Safety, Security and Transportation Manager, function on assigned shift as primary on center contact for on-duty supervisors, law enforcement agencies and other on-duty staff for immediate response to situations requiring Safety, Security and Transportation staff attention.
- Performs security advisor/officer duties and provides supervision to staff to protect life and property against theft, vandalism, misappropriation, fire, flood, or similar disaster on assigned shift in compliance with government, corporate, and management directives.
- Maintains a logbook, registering all calls received, unusual occurrences, observations and decisions made, or action taken.
- Ensures orderly departure of any trainee from the center and notifies the parents or legal guardians when necessary.
- Ensures orderly, safe, and clean-living conditions.
- Prepares a complete report that details notable events.
- Informs the Safety, Security and Transportation Manager and/or the Center Director of anything that warrants immediate attention, including major incidents, extreme emergencies, unscheduled arrival of important visitors, etc.
- Provides leadership training for trainee leaders on effective communications, conflict management, zero tolerance and social skills.
- Supervises assigned student cadets.
- Attends staff training as required.
- Adheres to Covenant Learning Solutions Quality Assurance Plan.
- Clearly communicates and consistently models appropriate CSS and employability skills including personal responsibility and computer fluency.
- Maintains accountability of staff, students, and property, adheres to safety practices in all areas of responsibility.
- Cultivates and maintains a climate on center that is free of harassment, intimidation, bullying and disrespect to provide a safe place for staff and students to work and learn.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent required
 • One year of supervisory experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related field preferred
 • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record required
Additional Requirements
Knowledge of crowd control and basic law enforcement procedures is preferred. CPR and First Aid certification must be maintained. Strong communication skills are required. The ability to relate to and work with a diverse student population is essential. This position requires operating standard office equipment and driving government vehicles. The ability to work effectively as part of a team and maintain professional relationships across departments is critical.
