Join T2 Utility Engineers in Knoxville, TN to play an integral role in preparing computer-generated survey drawings, according to established standards and procedures, from field collected data using CAD software. 

T2 Utility Engineers specializes in providing reliable underground and above-ground utility information to reduce the risks that utilities present for infrastructure projects. T2ue helps clients manage the complexity of existing utilities with our professional and comprehensive Subsurface Utility Engineering, Utility Coordination, and Surveying services.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepares composite utility file, plan sheet drawings and complete SUE plans usingMicrostationand AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Ensures that his or her drafting is of the highest quality and organizedin accordance withcompany design standards
  • Ensures that all drawings are prepared with accuracy, neatness, and speed
  • Ensures that all drawings are produced using uniform and standard quality of lines and lettering
  • Demonstrates ability to manage simultaneous projects
  • Communicates drafting issues and problems to the project manager
  • Mayassistin the data collection and/or field verification project documents


Qualifications:

  • Two‐year course in engineering drafting/CAD operation plus two years applicable experience or a minimum of two years of experience on DOT roadway projects
  • Experience in processing survey data preferred
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Solid time management and follow‐through skills, with the ability to simultaneously work on and manage multiple tasks and projects with tight deadlines
  • Positive, flexible team‐oriented approach, with the willingness and desire to work as part of a team
  • Self‐motivated, strong initiative; effective oral and written skills
  • Detail oriented, resourceful
