Medical Assistant

Monday to Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm (no weekends, nights, or major holidays)

Full-time (40/hour per week)

Pay range is from $17-18 per hour with increases available based on performance

Locations available: Knoxville & Chattanooga, TN, In-Person

Key Responsibilities:

  • Escorts patients throughout facility, interviews patients to obtain appropriate medical information/history, and measures vital signs.
  • Obtains samples and performs inhouse CLIA approved testing upon medical provider’s request when needed.
  • Administers routine diagnostic test or calls medical facility or department to schedule patients for tests.
  • Reviews provider’s (Physician, NP, PA) orders, lab requests, or any other follow-up needs with patient, including the scheduling of any additional tests.
  • Obtains pre-certifications from insurance providers for special procedures when needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certified or Registered Medical Assistant.
  • Experience in medical office, clinic, or hospital setting is preferred.
