Job DetailsJob Location: KNOXVILLE TERMINAL - Knoxville, TN 37921Lead Shop Tech Reports to Shop Supervisor or Terminal Manager --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Major Responsibilities: Vehicle component lubrication and replacement Electrical system repairs Cooling system maintenance Perform basic and major diagnostics  Job Duties: Perform advance computer diagnostics, advance electrical diagnostics, major and minor component repair and all aspects of preventative maintenance on the company’s fleet of power units and tank trailers Oversee mechanics, manage work day and on call schedule Strong computer skills required Ability to understand and perform inventory management and correct inventory billing Complete Daily OOS report – work with TM and ATM to track all equipment and the status of equipment Prioritize projects and assign Manage Preventive Maintenance schedules for on time performance Light office related duties as necessary to manage hard equipment files / Maintain accurate, updated preventive maintenance records. Maintain compliance with FRTL safety expectations Special Knowledge/Skills: Advanced knowledge of diesel and fuel engine maintenance and repair. Ability to diagnose mechanical problems and perform repairs independently. Ability to operate equipment and tools involved in vehicle repair. Ability to lift heavy equipment and vehicle parts. Ability to pass required bus driver safety training and physical Acceptable driving record. QualificationsKnowledge and Skills: Working knowledge in the use of hand tools required A valid driver’s license is required Must have a positive attitude and the willingness to grow in the position Basic computer skills for data entry into the maintenance system  Education and Work Experience: Class A CDL with Hazmat preferred 5-7 Years of automotive or diesel experience preferred High school diploma or equivalent required Vocational or Technical certificate preferred Petroleum Tank repair experience and certifications highly preferred  Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
