This role reports directly to the General Manager of Knoxville facility. The Production Supervisor will oversee production activities and processes to ensure efficiency and high quality. The Production Supervisor manages schedules, staff, and resources to meet deadlines and targets.

 

Aqua Membranes is seeking a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills; they will coordinate activities and resolve issues to maintain smooth operations. This role requires excellent communication and problem-solving abilities to optimize production outcomes.  As a key player in the manufacturing team, the Production Supervisor drives productivity and ensures adherence to safety and quality standards.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Implementing and maintaining applicable Health & Safety/Quality standards of production.
  • Bring forward, as appropriate, industry best practices and new technologies.
  • Driving continuous improvement of operation efficiency (outputs, costs, labor, productivity, asset utilization), follow factory performance reliability standards.
  • Responsible for delivering key production Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).
  • Lead production teams (shift leaders, team leaders, group leaders, operators, etc.) in dedicated production areas. Will participate in element rolling, and processes during initial stages of getting the Knoxville facility self-reliant in element production.
  • Coach and develop team members’ technical and leadership skills, and capabilities. This is to include writing and revising SOP’s.
  • Manage daily personnel issues, such as timekeeping, vacations, overtime and attendance.
  • Assumes responsibility for the efficient, timely, and accurate completion of Production functions.
  • All other duties and accountabilities, not listed above, as assigned.

 

Key Success Metrics

  • Element yield improvement to >90%
  • Implementation and maintenance of lean initiatives with measurable cost reduction or efficiency benefits.
  • Cross-functional alignment with Quality, Maintenance, Engineering and Warehouse.

 

Qualifications

Experience: 5+ years in manufacturing, preferably in membrane, water treatment, or high-precision assembly.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent, degree in technical, engineering or 5 years minimum experience in related field.

System Knowledge: Quality systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, NSF, etc.), lean manufacturing technologies, and performance dashboards.

 

Skills required:

  • Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; ability to organize and prioritize effectively; maintain flexibility as priorities change.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, problem solving and technical abilities.
  • Ability to quickly act in decision making.
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis, corrective and preventive action.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills for report writing and interactions with diverse groups inside/outside of the company.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is preferred.
