The IT Retail & Logistics Intern will have the opportunity to gain fantastic hands-on experience and build your resume with corporate mentorship and exposure to the business side of Information Technology. The Retail & Logistics Intern will support the IT Retail & Logistics Product Owner as well as the rest of the IT Development team in streamlining and optimizing business processes within our brick-and-mortar stores as well as our supply chain. To excel in this role, it's essential to have strong skills in documenting and mapping technical and operational processes, a great ability to collaborate and work with diverse teams, and a drive to learn about and help solve problems in multiple functions of the retail industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in gathering and documenting business requirements from stakeholders across different departments to support ongoing and upcoming IT projects.

  • Work closely with IT, business units, and external vendors to understand requirements and contribute to solutions that align with business objectives.

  • Collaborate with team members to create flow charts, process diagrams, and other visual aids to clarify workflows and business processes.

  • Support the testing phase of IT initiatives by assisting in creating test plans, participating in user acceptance testing (UAT), and documenting results.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and help implement solutions that enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the Retail and Logistics departments.

  • Provide general administrative and project support as needed to ensure the smooth execution of projects.

  • Adapt to rapidly changing requirements and priorities

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

  • Strong interest in retail, logistics, and IT.

  • Basic knowledge of business analysis techniques, such as requirements gathering and process mapping.

  • Familiarity with tools such as Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, or similar for creating flow charts and diagrams.

  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

  • Proactive and eager to learn, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

  • Familiarity with testing methodologies and creating test plans is a plus, but not required.
