About the Job: 

Knoxville Pet Emergency Clinic (KPEC) is looking for an Associate ER Veterinarian to join our incredible staff! All experience levels are welcome to apply. Our clinic would provide an excellent environment for ER veterinarians interested in practicing the highest level of medicine and surgery. 

Pay Rate: TBD for part-time or full-time (commensurate with experience/shift schedule) 

Schedule Needs: Part-Time - Day, Overnight, and Weekend Shifts Available 

ER Hours: Friday – Monday: 24 hours; Tuesday – Thursday: 7PM - 7AM

Knoxville Pet Emergency Clinic is an overnight and weekend emergency clinic offering the gold standard in medical and surgical care. Our diagnostic equipment includes an in-house laboratory, digital radiography, endoscopy, and ultrasound. Most importantly, we have phenomenal and experienced support staff who are crucial to the success of patient and client care.   

Our doctors perform a variety of advanced soft tissue surgeries andhavewillingness to learn new surgeries and techniques.  We have a Medical Director mentoring and an after-hours resource if needed, flexibility with scheduling which allows for work life balance, ability to come up with an individualized patient treatment plan with the owners.

We are located just outside of downtown Knoxville off I40W - This makes Knoxville Pet Emergency Clinic a breeze to get to. Be at Gatlinburg or the Great Smokey Mountains in less than 2 hours, or if you like college football, the Vols play every Saturday in fall. Knoxville is a growing town that is filled with excellent schools and parks. The Veterinary Community in Knoxville is filled with associations, and The University of Tennessee CVM is right down the road and offers unlimited CE events!

Qualifications: 

• Licensed Tennessee Veterinarian – active and in good standing 

• All experience levels considered 

• General surgical experience or willingness to learn preferred 

• Ability to work occasional overnights and weekends preferred 

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
