Job Description

Help provide a safe and enjoyable experience for guests at City pools and aquatic facilities. Lifeguards monitor activities, enforce pool rules, respond to emergencies, and deliver excellent customer service while maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be at least 15 years old
Current Lifeguard Certification required (American Red Cross or equivalent)
CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required or ability to obtain before employment
Ability to swim and perform lifeguard rescue skills
Must successfully pass pre-employment drug screening/urine test
Position is designated as safety-sensitive

Preferred Skills:

Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to remain alert, professional, and calm in emergency situations
Experience working with the public, especially youth and families
Position is part-time, hourly, seasonal, and at-will. There are no paid holidays, vacation days, or healthcare benefits available.
Position requires pre-employment drug screening and on random drug screening list as it is a Safety-Sensitive position.
Certain positions may require background checks or additional training based on assigned duties
