We are hiring for Medical Laboratory Scientist position at Providence Kodiak Island Medical Center in Kodiak, AK!

Position is full-time, 0.9 FTE, 12-hr Variable shifts, 40 hours per week.

The Medical Technologist conducts clinical diagnostic testing on inpatients, outpatients, and residents to included blood draws and specimen collections for processing. Performs therapeutic phlebotomy. Conducts quality control procedures on patient tests and laboratory equipment to ensure that accurate diagnostic testing is performed. Reports patient data to the patient's medical record and/or medical staff if the results warrant direct contact.

Required Qualifications:

Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement.
Within 1 year of hire: National Medical Laboratory Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathology, or
Within 1 year of hire: National Clinical Laboratory Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathology, or
Within 1 year of hire: National Medical Technologist - American Medical Technologists, or
Within 1 year of hire: National Medical Technologist - American Society for Clinical Pathology, or
Within 1 year of hire: National Medical Technologist - American Association of Bioanalysts

Preferred Qualifications:

2 years work experience in a clinical laboratory.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
