We are looking for an Iron Melt Operator to join our Cast Iron division. We offer a diverse array of growth opportunities within our manufacturing divisions. This position will be based at our Kohler, Wisconsin location. We specialize in manufacturing high-quality cast iron products.Â

Crafting Excellence: Your ResponsibilitiesÂ
Â
Use of pneumatic chipping hammer and masonry/brick saw Â
Perform ladle patch/rebuild with misc. refractories, perform Â
Melt baghouse bag change outÂ
Perform Auto-pour furnace chip/patchÂ
Perform Melt furnace chip/patchÂ
Melt furnace knockout and reline as neededÂ
Yard Crane, HMC and Preheat operationsÂ
Scrap load check-in, after time duties will include slagging, charging, tapping melt furnaces as directed by Control TechnicianÂ
Fork lift certification is required, etc. Â
Clean up duties will be assigned as needed by supervision. Â
PPE requirements are, but not limited to: 3.0 tinted safety glasses, slip off safety shoes with metatarsal guards, respirator, coveralls, etc. Â
Schedule reflects production lines.Â

Skills/Requirements
Must be able to work in the US without restriction or sponsorship.Â
Effective communication skills for manufacturing production processes.Â
Must be at least 18 years old.Â
Preferred QualificationsÂ
High School diploma or equivalent preferred.Â
1+ year of manufacturing, industrial, or warehouse experience preferred.Â
