Sr Project Leader-HR Operations

Opportunity

The Sr Project Leader will manage the implementation, reporting and performance of the overall project. The position provides service and process support to business unit HR, leaders and associates on critical strategic projects related to HR service delivery and talent initiatives across the enterprise. The Sr Project Leader will partner closely with SME teams, global and regional HRBP’s, and COE teams to standardize processes and systems, and improve productivity. They will also work directly with business unit HR to support an HR agenda that closely supports organizational and project goals.

The Sr Project Leader serves as a Total Rewards lead of the Workday platform, ensuring it delivers maximum value to the business and enhances the associate experience. This role partners with the Total Rewards COE to design global business processes and manages functional workstream interdependencies across HR, IT, and other key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft project review reports and presentations, including key information, commentary, and recommendations, to support the review process and enable stakeholders to evaluate progress and agree on change.
  • Produce workstream or project plans, ensuring that all activities are identified, are appropriately organized to deliver project objectives, and comply with the organization's project management framework.
  • Lead a small project team; communicate the necessary outcomes and the direction required to achieve them; coordinate team actions on project tasks; request additional team member support when needed; and identify areas of improvement to build the capability of the team through training, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Identify and evaluate risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints associated with the project, escalating matters where appropriate. Where necessary, develop, agree on, and implement solutions to overcome these concerns.
  • Act as a liaison between HR COE’s/GSS and HRBP teams on critical projects, identifying critical needs for projects, gathering information and input from business HR and other SMEs
  • Draft elements of product documentation and user training to support handover to business as usual. Contribute to post-project reviews and identification of lessons learned.
  • Act as subject matter expert in an area of HR technology, process, or project. Participate in project execution to ensure business needs are met.
  • Manage relationships with internal clients and act as a business partner to them, building high levels of professional credibility and mutual trust, and managing the deployment of appropriate internal and/or external resources to support in delivering business strategy and plans.
  • Partner COE on change the work initiatives such as business process enhancements, job architecture, and compensation guideline/process impact updates.

Key Responsibilities - Total Rewards (HCM Implementation):

  • Drive continuous improvement of Workday capabilities to maximize ROI and adoption.
  • Partner with technical teams to ensure data integrity and compliance.
  • Provide direction on end-to-end processes across integrated platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, other HR technologies).
  • Lead coordination and communication of workstream updates to program sponsors and stakeholders.
  • Partner with Total Rewards COE to establish and maintain governance processes for business process changes and enhancements.
  • Collaborate with functional and technical teams to design and configure Workday solutions that meet functional and business requirements, ensuring scalability, compliance, and alignment with enterprise strategy.

Skills/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Human Resources, Business, Information Systems, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in either HR technology, HR Operations
  • Experience in planning and managing projects to deliver predetermined objectives
  • Strong organization and communication skills.
  • Ability to influence without authority.
  • Strong knowledge of Workday HCM and related modules (e.g., Core HR, Talent, Performance, Compensation).
