We are looking for a Welder to join our team! This position will be based at our Kohler, Wisconsin location. We specialize in manufacturing high-quality cast iron products.Â

Crafting Excellence: Your ResponsibilitiesÂ
Â
Understand, properly set up and proficiently operate a variety of welding equipment e.g. SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, Oxy-Acetylene cutting, Plazma cutting, Arc Carbon Arc cutting, power tools, shop equipment, etc. Â
Working from drawings, plant layouts, or verbal orders, perform a wide variety of fabrication assignments, operating a variety of power equipment and machinery. Â
Working knowledge of welding symbols with the ability to weld to the specifications defined by those symbols. Â
Weld to proper dimensions and to meet general test requirements. Â
Work from drawings, job layouts, and sketches. Â
Fit, position, and weld a variety of items e.g. frames, bases, hoppers, covers, hoods, pipes, production service equipment and machinery, etc. Â
Chip and grind welds as required. Â
Perform a variety of duties requiring a cutting torch. Â
Safely and effectively operate all shop fabrication equipment. Â
Understand different types of steel and various preheat requirements. Â
Be capable of using Computerized Maintenance Management software to create work notifications, look-up and order parts, print work orders, and enter time confirmations. Â

Skills/Requirements
Must be able to work in the US without restriction or sponsorship.Â
Effective communication skills for manufacturing production processes.Â
Must be at least 18 years old.Â

Preferred QualificationsÂ
High School diploma/GED required. Â
Technical diploma is desiredÂ
Required to achieve a passing score on technical skills test and hands-on assessment. Â
Must be capable of operating a forklift. Â
Must provide own tools.Â
Must pass State of Wisconsin structural welding certification, unlimited thickness, A-36 plate in all positions within 90-days of start date.Â
