Job DetailsJob Location: Corporate Headquarters - Kokomo, IN 46901Merrell Bros., Inc. – Indiana Division is looking for a dependable, safety-focused Class A CDL Driver to join our team. If you take pride in your equipment, have a strong work ethic, and want the opportunity to earn $70,000+ per year, we want to hear from you. Tanker experience is a plus, but not required. Our drivers operate newer Mack trucks (2020–2026), all automatics, with trucks and trailers assigned to individual drivers for their care and operation. Depending on the position and project, equipment may include tankers, tri-axle and quad-axle dump trucks, lowboys, roll-offs, and dry transport trailers. Company mechanics handle equipment maintenance, and drivers have access to 24/7 assistance and support. This is a local and regional driving position with occasional overnight travel. When overnight stays are required, hotel accommodations are provided, along with an overnight bonus. Drivers who are willing to travel for project work have additional opportunities to increase their earning potential. Responsibilities Transport raw materials over land to and from municipalities to facility/site Inspect vehicles daily for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance Plan routes and meet schedules Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions Report defects, accidents or violations   QualificationsRequirements Proven work experience as a truck driver Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc.) Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations No recent moving or driving violations Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.) Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations Truck driving school diploma/certification a plus Valid Class A Commercial Driver License BENEFITS: Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance Company Sponsored 401(k) with Matching Funds Company Sponsored Savings Program Life/AD&D Insurance Paid Time Off and Holiday Pay Company Attire Direct Deposit/Weekly Pay Safety Bonus Program Overnight Per Diem - $75 Paid Orientation Scheduled days off - NO Sunday work
