Merrell Bros., Inc. is looking for an experienced Class A CDL Driver to join our Indiana Division. This is a full-time, regional driving position offering strong earning potential, newer automatic Mack trucks, and the backing of a team that understands what professional drivers need to do their jobs well. Our drivers can earn $70,000+ annually, with additional opportunity through our Annual Safety Bonus. While most work is regional, occasional overnight travel is part of the role and gives drivers the opportunity to take on a variety of projects and keep the work interesting. This position specializes in operation and maintenance of a semi transport tractor and trailer. Individual positions consist of pulling tankers, tri-axle/quad-axle dump trucks, lowboys, roll - offs, or dry transport trailers. Maintenance items are performed by our company mechanics. Local driving and regional work on a regular basis requiring overnight stays (hotel rooms provided) that earn overnight bonus. Willingness to travel for project work offers higher opportunity for salary! Responsibilities Transport raw materials over land to and from municipalities to facility/site Inspect vehicles daily for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance Plan routes and meet schedules Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions Report defects, accidents or violations  QualificationsRequirements Proven work experience as a truck driver Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc.) Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations No recent moving or driving violations Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.) Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations Truck driving school diploma/certification a plus Valid Class A Commercial Driver License  BENEFITS: Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance Company Sponsored 401(k) with Matching Funds Company Sponsored Savings Program Life/AD&D Insurance Paid Vacation plus earned Paid Days Off Holiday Pay Company Attire Direct Deposit/Weekly Pay Safety Bonus Program Overnight Per Diem - $75 Paid Orientation Scheduled days off - NO Sunday work
