Job Description
what you will accomplish
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for inspecting rooms and public spaces to ensure compliance with cleanliness and maintenance standards, as well as to verify status of the rooms. The Housekeeping Supervisor assists in scheduling room, turndown and linen attendants. The responsibility of a Housekeeping Supervisor also includes providing feedback, coaching and training for better performance to room attendants and general cleaners. Also provides administrative support for the department as needed. This position may also be required to clean rooms, public areas, assist in Laundry, and any other duty as assigned.
- Maintain warm, hospitable guest relations in all guest contact.
- Respond to individual guest needs as they occur.
- Clean and maintain all assigned rooms and suites daily, including stripping linen, bathroom cleaning, vacuuming, dusting, checking of room lights and equipment, air conditioner unit, television, spot cleaning, and stocking all room supplies.
- Supervise Room Attendants and Housepersons, including the re-cleaning of any items missed or not cleaned to Ko’a Kea Hotel & Resort cleanliness standards.
- Report any items missing from rooms and suites.
- Report all items in need of repair to supervisor and maintain equipment used in work.
- Protect guest safety and well-being; be courteous to all guests and co-workers.

- High school education preferred.
- Previous experience as a Room Attendant or Supervisor preferred.
- Minimum lifting of 20 pounds.
- Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterity.
- Hearing, writing, typing.
- Minimum pulling of 20 pounds.
- Other duties may be assigned.

- Must have good mathematical and computer skills.
- High school education and relevant training and experience required. Additional education preferred. Knowledge of local area required.
