This includes all aspects of landscape maintenance, including the operation of lawn mowers, string trimmers, chainsaws, and other equipment as necessary.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Operate farm-type tractors and towed or attached equipment on steep hillsides and rough terrain where there is a risk of equipment overturning. Examples of work performed include contour plowing, planting and mowing on steep slopes, constructing erosion-control structures, and operating equipment for earthmoving projects requiring close tolerances.

• Perform daily preventive maintenance and make repairs and adjustments to tractors and related equipment. This includes, but is not limited to, replacing belts, chains, and cables; changing oil and filters; checking batteries; conducting safety inspections; and performing other required servicing.

• Be able to safely operate large vehicles and trailers.

• Be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.

• Be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
