Meta is seeking a Facility Project Manager to join our Data Center Facility Operations team. Our data centers form the critical physical infrastructure backbone that powers Meta's global platforms and services. In this role, you will own the planning and execution of a portfolio of physical infrastructure projects across an operational data center campus, spanning electrical, mechanical, controls, and fire and life safety systems. You will serve as the primary site-level point of contact for retrofit and infrastructure improvement initiatives, coordinating cross-functional resources to deliver projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and prioritize a portfolio of physical infrastructure projects across a multi-building data center campus, including intake, sequencing, and coordination with campus-wide operational activities
  • Develop and maintain project charters, work breakdown structures, resource-loaded schedules, and milestone tracking for all active retrofit and infrastructure projects
  • Serve as the primary site-level point of contact during retrofit concept development, design review, and execution phases
  • Coordinate with internal cross-functional partners including Engineering, Quality Assurance, Controls, and Commissioning teams to ensure integrated project delivery
  • Monitor project risks related to schedule, budget, safety, and quality, and collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement mitigation strategies
  • Leverage project management toolsets to sequence and track all site retrofit activities, ensuring alignment with global retrofit standards and site operational constraints
  • Coordinate staffing model planning with internal and external stakeholders to ensure retrofit team capacity aligns with portfolio demand
  • Oversee commissioning execution by coordinating on-site quality assurance and quality control resources and third-party commissioning agents
  • Ensure complete and accurate document turnover at project close, including record drawings, equipment manuals, and asset information
  • Partner with Sourcing Managers to support vendor contract development and manage contractor performance throughout the project lifecycle


Minimum Qualifications

  • 6+ years of project management experience in any combination of data center construction, critical facility operations, maintenance, or infrastructure project planning
  • Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, controls, and fire and life safety systems in mission-critical or complex built environments
  • Experience reading and interpreting construction plans, specifications, and equipment shop drawings
  • Experience forecasting and managing project budgets, schedules, and resource requirements
  • Experience using project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Procore, or equivalent platforms


Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP or equivalent project management certification
  • Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
  • Familiarity with maintenance planning platforms such as SAP, Hexagon, or similar computerized maintenance management systems
  • Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize project workflows and drive measurable efficiency or quality improvements
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
  • Experience managing retrofit or capital improvement portfolios in operational data center environments


$118,000/year to $170,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
