How you'll make an impact in this role

  • Equips and optimizes the operating suite with specialized sterile and non-sterile cardiovascular/neuro instruments and supplies, ensuring strict adherence to aseptic techniques before incision.
  • Facilitates seamless procedural flow by accurately anticipating and passing critical instrumentation, sutures, and supplies to the surgical team during complex, high-stakes interventions.
  • Collaborates in the safe preparation, transportation, precise positioning, and sterile draping of patients to optimize surgical access while preventing pressure injuries.
  • Organizes intraoperative setups and maintains meticulous tracking of instruments, sponges, and sharps to ensure 100% accuracy and guarantee patient safety.
  • Provides active, real-time assistance to the surgical team in achieving hemostasis and managing specialized equipment throughout the procedure.

What minimum qualifications you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • One or more of the following required:
    • Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
