Join our dedicated team at Gundersen Health System as a Dental Assistant in our Pediatric department.

Gundersen Health System is a physician-led enterprise recognized for delivering high-quality healthcare services across Wisconsin. We are looking for a Dental Assistant with prior experience, someone who is a motivated and skilled individual to provide exceptional support to our dental professionals and ensure a positive experience for our patients.

Position: Dental Assistant
Department: Pediatric
Hours: 36 hours per week
Schedule: 4 9-hr days each week. 6:30 am – 4:30 pm. Example: Week 1 Monday-Thursday, Week 2 Tuesday - Friday

Locations: Downtown Dental Specialties, La Crosse and on Mondays will travel to the Main Campus in Winona

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with pediatric dentists to assist with dental exams, radiographic images, dental procedures, and subsequent documentation.

  • Educating patients on proper oral hygiene and dental care.

  • Ensure compliance with infection control protocols

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Desired: 1-2 years of work experience in a dental practice

  • CPR for Health Care Providers (with hands on learning)

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Experience working in electronic patient records (example Epic) is preferred

  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
