Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Employer: Hillview Health Care Center – La Crosse County
Location: La Crosse, WI
Note: Facility is located on the Number 2 city bus line and near local bike trails.

Pay:
Starting wage 20.19 per hour
Additional shift and weekend differentials

Schedule:

  • Full-time and Every Other Weekend positions available

PM Shift 2:30pm to 11:00pm
Every other weekend required
Rotating holiday schedule

Job Summary:
Hillview Health Care Center is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants to provide high-quality, person-centered care to residents in a long-term care setting. CNAs work under the supervision of Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, or Nurse Technicians.

Responsibilities:
• Assist residents with personal hygiene and daily living activities
• Support residents at mealtimes, including assistance and supervision
• Follow individual care plans, including use of mechanical lifts
• Take and record vital signs, weights, and simple skin care treatments
• Maintain safety and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff
• Support resident independence and person-centered care
• Document care as directed
• Maintain clean and safe resident environments
• Escort residents to meals and activities
• Attend required in-service training, minimum 12 hours annually
• Uphold resident rights, confidentiality, and facility policies
• Participate in team meetings and restorative care programs
Medication-certified CNAs may assist with medication administration under RN supervision

Physical Requirements:
• Frequent standing and walking
• Ability to lift 35 pounds and transfer up to 50 pounds using proper body mechanics
• Ability to kneel, squat, push, and pull
• Ability to operate equipment such as mechanical lifts, wheelchairs, scales, and restorative devices
• Ability to communicate clearly in English

Qualifications:
• Current Wisconsin CNA certification required
• Must be at least 16 years old
• Must pass Wisconsin Caregiver background check
• Valid driver’s license required if transporting residents
