Where is the work:

On-Site (5 days)

 

 

Job Summary:

Order parts and maintain inventory, write purchase requests, and receive ordered parts. Qualified candidate must be able to communicate with multiple vendors and suppliers at the same time and to translate technicians’ needs with the appropriate suppliers.   
 

Job Duties:

  • Purchase and receive parts daily in CMMS and purchasing system.

  • Order parts from internal crib (IDG) using x-code system.

  • Maintain and organize inventory in the crib on a daily basis.

  • Receive work instructions from a member of management or a team lead.

  • Follow standard work. Complete production and maintenance records and other documentation related to operations.

  • Participate in basic problem solving, 5-S, and lean activities.

  • Demonstrate the ability to perform the above duties with no additional training required.

  • Meet and maintain all safety requirements.

  • Work with maintenance technicians and run maintenance equipment, such as fork trucks, stackers, snorkel lifts, scooters, pickup truck, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Good computer skills and knowledge of Windows-based programs required.

  • Knowledge of maintenance management system (CMMS) is a plus.

  • Automotive, industrial, retail count/warehouse experience is a plus.

  • Must be a self-starter with good communication skills and good technical aptitude.

  • Must be able to communicate with vendors in regard to technical ordering of parts and relaying information from vendors to maintenance technicians.        

  • Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds. Position requires lifting, bending, kneeling, and pushing. Qualified candidates must be able to work in high places and in confined spaces.
