The Safety Coordinator provides, maintains and evaluates a Physical Environment - Safety Management program to conform to regulatory agencies requirements for the protection of patients, visitors and employees. This position also provides support to the Facilities Services department and coordinates various functions of the department to meet regulatory agency requirements for a safe facility.

This role will provide direct safety support for the Southwest Wisconsin Region. The position will be based in La Crosse with routine work onsite in Sparta, and other clinics.

Qualifications

Associates degree in a Safety or Health Care related field or job related experience. Ability to develop and organize educational activities. Demonstrable skills associated with training and public presentations in safety related topics.

Experience in healthcare safety, OSHA compliance, workplace violence prevention, and Environment of Care programs  highly encouraged. Strong collaboration and cross-departmental communication skills are also a priority. Bachelor’s or Master’s in Occupational/Environmental Health & Safety (or related field), and professional certifications such as ASP or CSP are strongly preferred.
