Do you want your accounting skills to support a mission that truly makes an impact?  Aptiv is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting people with disabilities in communities across Wisconsin. We're looking for a Staff Accountant to join our Finance team and help ensure our financial operations run smoothly and accurately. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys accounting work, values accuracy and confidentiality, and wants to know that the numbers they work with every day are helping tell a bigger story.  What You'll Do  Maintain the chart of accounts  Reconcile bank accounts and prepare journal entries  Process deposits and assist with grant accounting  Manage accounts payable, including requisitions, invoice entry, and payments (checks and EFTs)  Maintain vendor records and ensure accurate accounting data  Prepare monthly financial reports  Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and workflows  Work with staff and vendors to resolve questions and discrepancies  Cross-train to support payroll, billing, and the Representative Payee Program  Provide accounting support for related entities, including the Aptiv Foundation and Opportunity Enterprises  Perform other duties as assigned  What We're Looking For  Strong attention to detail and organizational skills  Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities  Professionalism when handling confidential information  A collaborative, team-oriented approach  A desire to contribute to a mission-driven organization  Preferred Qualifications  Associate degree in Accounting or a related field  One to three years of accounting experience  Experience with general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, payroll, or month-end close processes  Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace  Schedule & Work Environment  Full-time position with a flexible schedule  Primarily office-based  Regular computer and data entry work  Occasional local travel may be required  Why Aptiv?  At Aptiv, numbers tell a bigger story. Every financial report, reconciliation, and payment helps support services that make a difference for people with disabilities across Wisconsin.
