Join our team of lifeguards and swim instructors at the Dahl branch in La Crosse, WI, to ensure the health and safety of all participants while providing high-quality programming.
This position offers both part-time and full-time flexible hours during the summer, with the pool open from 5am to 8:30pm on weekdays and 7am to 4pm on weekends.
Candidates must be at least 15 years old, with lifeguards requiring certifications in Lifeguard, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, and preferably YMCA Water Instructor Certification for instructors.
The job includes maintaining participant safety, enforcing rules, and conducting YMCA Learn-to-Swim lessons, with training provided for qualified applicants.

Details:

Flexible hours – PART-TIME and FULL-TIME positions available for the summer!
Work rain or shine in a controlled environment
We will train qualified applicants
Pool is open from 5am - 8:30pm Monday - Friday, 7am - 4pm Saturday and Sunday.

Responsibilities:

Maintain the health and safety of all participants
Enforce rules and expectations
Constant vigilance of pool activities
Conduct YMCA Learn-to-Swim lessons

Requirements

Must be at least 15 years old
Lifeguard Certification (for lifeguards only)
CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer Certification (lifeguards only)
YMCA Water Instructor Certification preferred (Instructors only)
Must enjoy working around children and adults of all ages
