Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Delivers pallets, totes, and supersacks of ingredients from warehouse or freezers to Dry Ingredient, IQF rooms, and downstairs tomato dumping area
- Assists IQF Vegetable Operator in dumping ingredients
- Delivers caps to Filler rooms
- Operates forklift in safe manner.
- Reports maintenance issues as they occur and submits work orders when necessary.
- Follows all DFA Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate, regulatory quality, and sanitation requirements.
- Utilize scanners or thin client units to make SAP transaction for the purpose of maintain accurate inventory levels and ensuring reliable product traceability.
- Perform items on the Master Sanitation lists when production is not running.
- Handles cleaning chemicals in a safe manner utilizing safety equipment such as gloves, eyewear, etc.
- Clear cardboard, trash, and excess pallets from Powder Handling and Individually Quick Frozen rooms.
- Maintain sanitary equipment conditions during production.
- Maintain safe environment and perform other duties in a safe manner at all times.
- Assists in training new operator.
- Ability to function in a team based structure and positively contributes to team based efforts.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- SHIFT SCHEDULE - 2PM-10PM - Monday - Friday ---SATURDAYS AS REQUIRED PER DEMAND
- $18.50 / HOUR + .50/SHIFT DIFF WITH 2PM OR LATER SHIFT START TIME
Qualifications
- GED Certificate or High School Diploma Required
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.Â
- Must be able to attain a Forklift Operator License within 30 days of hiring.
