Position Summary

Autopedic Body Center is seeking an experienced Body Technician (Body Man) to join our team. The successful candidate will perform structural and non-structural repairs on damaged vehicles, ensuring all repairs meet manufacturer specifications, safety standards, and company quality expectations. This role requires a strong attention to detail, craftsmanship, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced collision repair environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform complete disassembly and reassembly of damaged vehicles.
  • Repair or replace damaged body panels, fenders, doors, quarter panels, roofs, and structural components.
  • Conduct frame and unibody repairs using measuring and alignment equipment.
  • Weld, section, and repair vehicle structures in accordance with OEM procedures.
  • Identify hidden damage and communicate repair requirements to estimators and production staff.
  • Prepare repaired panels and components for refinishing.
  • Ensure proper fit, finish, and functionality of all repaired components.
  • Follow repair plans, work orders, and manufacturer repair procedures.
  • Perform quality inspections throughout the repair process.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
  • Properly document repair progress and communicate status updates to management.
  • Support team members to ensure vehicles are delivered on time and to company standards.

  • Ability to read repair procedures and estimate documentation.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • I-CAR certifications preferred.
  • OEM certification training is an asset.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks associated with collision repair.
