Position Summary The Sr. Sales Floor & Product Lead plays a central role in the day-to-day success of the store. This position is responsible for how the store looks, flows, and feels to every person who walks through the door ensuring product gets from donation to the sales floor quickly, is easy to find and shop and is presented in a way that drives sales and reflects the quality of our mission. This role leads staff and volunteers across front-end and floor operations, maintains store standards and serves as a bridge between the backroom and the customer experience, all while fostering a team culture that reflects the mission and values of Journey Community Church. Key Responsibilities Sales Floor & Customer Experience Ensure the sales floor is consistently clean, fully stocked, organized and easy to navigate Monitor overall store conditions throughout the day and proactively address any areas of need Model excellent customer service and coach staff and volunteers to do the same Respond to customer questions and concerns with care and professionalism Product Flow & Floor Strategy Oversee the timely movement of product from the backroom to the sales floor Manage and organize product presentation across all departments to maximize visibility and sales Adjust product placement and floor layout in response to inventory levels, trends, and sales patterns Train and support the team in maintaining consistent floor and display standards Team Leadership & Development Direct and support staff and volunteers on the sales floor and front end Provide hands-on training and clear expectations to ensure work is completed to standard Follow up consistently to reinforce accountability and maintain quality Foster a positive, collaborative environment rooted in the mission of Journey Community Church Store Operations Support accurate cash handling and register procedures as needed Ensure compliance with store policies, safety standards, and operational procedures Keep fixtures, displays and floor areas organized, functional, and ready for customers Communicate operational issues and needs to leadership in a timely manner Sales Contribution Actively support store revenue goals through a well-maintained, shoppable floor Use awareness of product trends and customer behavior to inform floor decisions Encourage service practices that build customer loyalty and drive repeat visits QualificationsQualifications High school diploma or equivalent required 1–3 years of retail or customer service experience 1+ years of previous leadership or supervisory experience Strong communication and interpersonal skills Demonstrated ability to organize and maintain physical spaces, execute visual displays and keep inventory flowing in an orderly, intentional way Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented Comfortable in a fast-paced, physically active environment Ability to stand for extended periods and assist with lifting as needed Preferred Qualifications Experience in a nonprofit or faith-based organization Experience leading or training volunteers Background in retail operations, product flow, or visual presentation Work Environment This is a hands-on, floor-based role with frequent movement throughout the store. The position requires standing, walking, and regular lifting and movement of merchandise. Daily interaction with customers, staff,and volunteers is central to this role.
