The Regulatory Affairs Specialist, based out of our La Palma, CA corporate office and R&D Center, is responsible for developing and maintaining product labeling that complies with FDA, FSIS, FNS, and international regulations. This role provides regulatory expertise to internal partners and delivers business-minded solutions that support compliance and innovation.Â

What You Will Do:
• Develop, approve, and maintain product labeling in compliance with regulatory standardsÂ
• Review ingredients, formulations, processing procedures, analytical data, and claims for labeling purposesÂ
• Create nutrition facts panels in compliance with FDA and USDA labeling regulationsÂ
• Provide nutrition labeling expertise to internal partners in alignment with company guidelines and/or customers’ requirementsÂ
• Partner with Product Development, Marketing, Food Safety and Quality, and Packaging to support new product development, reformulation, and label changesÂ
• Liaise with government agencies and internal partners to resolve labeling discrepancies Â
• Research new product concepts to determine appropriate labeling and regulatory requirementsÂ
• Maintain accurate internal records to support labeling compliance and documentation requirementsÂ
• Educate internal teams on current and emerging labeling regulationsÂ
• Provide technical regulatory support to cross-functional teams Â

What We Look For:
• Bachelor’s degree in food science, Nutrition, Biological Sciences, Chemistry, or related fieldÂ
• 3+ years’ experience in food regulatory affairs, labeling, and nutrition complianceÂ
• Korean speaking/bilingual preferred
• Self-motivated, highly organized, and detail-oriented; able to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environmentÂ
• Strong understanding of U.S. and international food regulations, with eagerness to expand knowledgeÂ
• Experience with imported and exported products, with familiarity with Canada and Mexico labeling regulations a plusÂ

What We Offer:
The base salary range for this position is $75,000 to $99,000 annually with eligibility for a 5% annual incentive bonus that is based on organizational performance. The pay range represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to education, skills, work experience, certifications, geography etc. As such, starting pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.Â
