About the Role:

The Operator II plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of machinery and equipment within the production or processing environment. This position requires a thorough understanding of operational procedures and the ability to monitor systems to maintain optimal performance. The Operator II is responsible for identifying and troubleshooting issues, performing routine maintenance, and adhering to safety and quality standards. This role contributes directly to meeting production targets and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. Ultimately, the Operator II supports continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and product quality.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in an operational or manufacturing environment.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to follow technical instructions.
  • Ability to work in shifts and stand for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification or training related to equipment operation or maintenance.
  • Experience with computerized control systems or PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers).
  • Familiarity with quality management systems and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor machinery and equipment according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Identify, report, and troubleshoot operational issues promptly to maintain production flow.
  • Maintain accurate logs and documentation related to equipment performance, maintenance activities, and safety checks.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to support process improvements and adhere to quality standards.
