Adelphi is looking for a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse to deliver health and care services to students with significant medical needs through private nursing services at a school facility located in La Plata, Maryland.
The ideal nurse will be required to provide one-on-one nursing services to a student. The PDN will provide care as per the student’s health care plan.

Requirements:
  • Active MD License
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
 
Responsibilities:
  • Provide medical services exclusively to the assigned student and be available to them at all times.
  • Maintain visual access unless otherwise specified in the student's health or individualized education plan (IEP).
  • Deliver care in a non-disruptive manner and handle any medical emergencies that arise.
  • Collaborate with teachers and related service providers to support IEP implementation.
  • Attend IEP meetings to provide relevant medical information when requested.
  • Adhere to all school district board policies and specific physician orders during school hours and transportation.
  • Ensure that necessary medical supplies and equipment are present and in good working order.
  • Carry out specific activities delegated by the teacher related to the student’s care.
  • Any other duties as may be assigned.
