Job Summary

The Production Coordinator III is the technical expert directing the Production Team at identified branches on job packet creation and scope of work. The position supports customer relationships as an engineered products and service subject matter expert and main company contact for repair jobs.

 

 

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • All additional job responsibilities of a Production Coordinator II
  • Accountable for development and communication of job packets and corresponding scope of  work for engineered products and service jobs of identified locations
  • Provides guidance, technical expertise, and project management oversight to local service teams  during the development of engineered products and service job packets
  • Schedules and facilitates pre and post turnaround meetings for engineered products and service jobs with local shop management
  • Builds and maintains customer relationships by serving as primary technical resource and contact  on engineered products and service jobs
  • Coordinates customer requirements with identified Expeditor and New Product Sales Team to ensure production schedule and on-time delivery scheduling is met
  • Ensure proper facilitation of customer quotation for service jobs through the company’s VuPoint quoting portal
  • Schedules repair opportunities with customers and shop management for best delivery
  • Updates the production board, shop management, Valvkeep, and customer of any changes to the  schedule
  • Schedules and prepares scope of work for all field service work with customer and shop  management
  • Turnaround/ outage cost track and weekly invoicing
  • Updates the customer on pricing while valve is still in house to ensure that the purchase order is  updated for same day invoicing
  • Plans, coordinates, and prepares valve specifications and/or material requisitions and bid evaluations
  • Provides technical support and assists in resolution of manufacturing problems as required
  • Provides engineering support to customers and makes recommendations on product selection  and applications for our products
  • Review the process of customer’s Requests for Quotations (RFQs) to help keep the process and  criteria current in order to reach bid decisions, which best satisfy the company’s goals and objectives
  • Sources and procures direct shipment, special, and rush order items in a cost effective and timely  manner
  • Follows up on open quotations and responds to customer requests
  • Identifies and closes additional purchases of products and services by customers' communities
  • Works closely with sales support, Account Managers, and business development
  • Engages in technical discussions with potential clients, demonstrations, and presentations
  • Keeps management informed of all activity, including timely preparation of reports

 

Positional Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • 5 or more years of relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 1 or more years as a Production Coordinator II or equivalent experience
  • Skills & Abilities
    • Successful completion of all Production Coordinator II certification requirements
    • Successful completion of the Production Coordinator III learning path in LinkedIn Learning
    • Successful completion of Technical 103 training for assigned product vertical(s)
    • Successful completion of the level III written test for assigned product vertical(s)
    • Highly organized
    • Effective time-management

    • Strong leadership
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments.
    • Ability to work collectively with the administrative team associates

  • Must be able to travel and have a clear driving record in accordance to company driving guidelines
  • Clear background check and drug and alcohol screening
