We’re Hiring: Project Manager – Houston, Texas

Envent Corporation is excited to announce an opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated professional to join our team as a Project Manager in the Gulf Coast. This leadership role is central to ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing projects from the quotation stage through execution.
  • Serve as the primary integrator across multiple departments and organizations to achieve project objectives.
  • Build strong working relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement moderately complex projects; monitor pricing and materials; act as liaison between shop, management, and customer; ensure deadlines and specifications are met.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision; meet with customers (field personnel and facilities engineers) to define project scope and requirements.
  • Coordinate and evaluate internal and customer change requests; prepare and approve change orders.
  • Accountable to senior management for commercial, technical, and schedule performance
  • Participate in developing project proposals, budgets, and execution strategies; review, modify, and produce accurate written proposals and change order proposals; ensure adherence to strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales and act as a technical expert in design and engineering processes.
  • Interface with internal and external customers and vendors on technical and commercial issues.
  • Ensure Job Safety Analysis (JSA) completion, proper PPE usage, compliance with site permits, and conduct safety audits. Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions
  • Recommend and implement solutions to technical and commercial problems; resolve conflicts related to process and mechanical design.
  • Promote cooperation and teamwork; interact professionally with all stakeholders.
  • Verify all team members are fully trained and competent in job-specific tasks, equipment operation, safety procedures, and regulatory compliance before performing work
  • Handle special projects and any other reasonable requests as assigned by management.
  • Must be able to travel approximately 25%.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule that meets the needs of a 24/7 operation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in degassing, vapor control, water treatment, fabrication, natural gas compression, or industrial construction, with a proven track record in project management.
  • Equipment operation: 5 years (preferred).
  • Manager/Supervisory experience leading teams of 5+ members.
  • Project Management experience: 3–10 years (preferred).
  • Experience managing teams: 5+ years.

Required Skills & Tools

  • Strong communication skills; ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (PFDs, P&ID, piping, etc.).
  • Familiarity with industry codes, standards, and safe work practices
  • Excellent problem-solving skills; ability to define problems, identify constraints, and develop optimal solutions.
  • Strong safety awareness.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work in refinery, manufacturing, and production site environments.
  • Valid driver license from state of residency and valid proof of insurance
  • Must have or be able to obtain a valid TWIC card, RSO or comparable refinery area training card

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Physical demands include walking, sitting, handling tools or controls, reaching, balancing, stooping, talking, and hearing. Occasionally lift/move up to 50 lbs.
  • Work environment includes office settings and refineries
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
  • You must be physically fit and pass the company physical in order to be qualified to work in this position
