Job Description

As a Security Officer Access Verification Driver in La Porte, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. At a chemical and petrochemical location, Allied Universal officers in this access control role monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor and vehicle access, and complete routine patrols to help support a secure environment. This is a driving post, offering the chance to stay active, provide outstanding customer service, and deliver dependable security-related support with agility, teamwork, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to all visitors, contractors, and employees by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, check credentials and authorizations, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity in support of site access requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, controlled areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and support security-related policies.
• Prepare clear reports of daily activities, access control events, and incident details, and report maintenance concerns, policy issues, and/or suspicious behavior to site leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A TSA issued TWIC is required.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
