JOB TITLE:   Small Tool Mechanic

 

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The Small Tool Mechanic position supports the branch, and client, in all diagnosis, maintenance and repair of gas engine, electrical, and air powered equipment needs. This position ensures that all rental equipment maintenance and repair needs of the branch are conducted in an efficient, accurate, and timely manner. This role provides a great opportunity to learn and grow within our service department and beyond.


EDUCATION & SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Must be mechanically inclined with mechanical background and knowledge of various motors and engines
  • Must have your own tools
  • Must be able to multi-task and work on many different projects at one time
  • Must have a valid state driver’s license 
  • Must be able to stand, sit, and kneel for long periods of time in all weather conditions
  • Must be able to frequently lift 50+ lbs.



PRIMARY DUTIES

  • Inspects and repairs all electric, small engine, and air powered equipment to ensure safe operation prior to customer delivery
  • Trouble shoot all rental equipment for the most efficient way to get equipment back online
  • Maintain professional and ethical business relationships with all customers and co-workers following the established company policies and procedures.
  • Produce all required service tickets and/or documentation accurately, completely, and in a timely manner
  • Communicate with the team for ordering and stocking of needed parts, equipment, and accessories
  • Be an ambassador for safety, making sure all work is done in the safest manner
  • Continuous growth of knowledge for all Company products
  • Maintain a clean work environment
  • Performs other tasks and duties as assigned by Management
