PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The Mechanic position supports the branch, and client, in all maintenance and repair of industrial equipment needs. This position ensures that all rental equipment maintenance and repair needs of the branch are conducted in an efficient, accurate, and timely manner. This role provides a great opportunity to learn and grow within our service department and beyond.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Performs maintenance and repairs of all industrial equipment primarily in the field, but also in the shop
  • Inspects and tests all equipment to ensure safe operation prior to customer delivery
  • Trouble shoot all rental equipment for the most efficient way to get equipment back online
  • Maintain professional and ethical business relationships with all customers and coworkers following the established company policies and procedures.
  • Produce all required service tickets and/or documentation accurately, completely, and in a timely manner
  • Communicates with the team for ordering and stocking of needed parts, equipment, and accessories
  • Be an ambassador for safety, making sure all work is done in the safest manner
  • Continuous growth of knowledge for all Company products, inventory, and delivery capabilities
  • Assist with stocking, pick-up, and delivery of all parts, equipment, and accessories
  • Maintain a clean work environment
  • Performs other tasks and duties as assigned by Management

EDUCATION & SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Must be mechanically inclined with mechanical background and knowledge of various motors and engines
  • Must have your own tools
  • Must be able to travel locally and regionally participating in an “on-call” schedule
  • Must be able to multi-task and work on many different projects at one time
  • Must have a valid state driver’s license with a moderately clean driving record
  • Must be able to stand, sit, and kneel for long periods of time in all weather conditions
  • Must be able to frequently lift 50+ lbs.
