About the role
The Procurement Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization’s purchasing activities, ensuring cost-effective acquisition of goods and services while maintaining quality standards and compliance with company policies.This role involves developing procurement strategies, managing vendor relationships, and optimizing supply chain efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute procurement strategies for rotating equipment, spare parts, and maintenance services.
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing, negotiation, and contract management.
- Identify and evaluate suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor market trends and assess risks to maintain competitive pricing and supply continuity.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to forecast demand and establish purchasing plans.
- Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and company standards in all procurement activities.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance.
- Drive cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvement in procurement processes.
- Resolve issues related to delivery, quality, or payment disputes with suppliers.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 7 years in procurement or supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
