Hiring Machine Envelope Packers for all shifts in our City of Industry, CA plant.
Machine Packer Pay/Schedule:
- Pay $18/hr + shift premiums
- 2nd shift premium $0.70/hr (2pm -- 10pm)
- 3rd shift premium $1.50/hr (10pm - 6am)
- Schedule: Mon - Fri / Sat required during busy season/based on business needs.
Machine Packer Responsibilities & Daily Duties:
- Loads paper onto automatic hand-fed or web envelope folding machines; packs finished product.
- Inspects the quality of envelopes, labels cartons, reports variances to key personnel.
- Check current production orders/schedules to determine daily production requirements.
- May be required to do rework on finished product; Cleans up work area during/end of shift.
- Other duties as assigned/required.
Machine Packer Physical Requirements & Work Environment:-
- Ability to maintain a high-speed output while standing for the duration of a full shift, including frequent pushing, twisting, and bending.
- Requires strong mental alertness and the ability to reach overhead, step up, and manually feed paper into the machine.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and sufficient manual dexterity to grasp and handle objects repeatedly.
- Regular exposure to arm and wrist fatigue; the work environment includes noise and contact with non-hazardous materials, such as inks, solvents, and glue.
- Must be able to work effectively in environments with varying temperatures, including both hot and cold conditions.

Qualifications
- The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or equivalent.
- 6 months of relevant work experience in a production environment.
- Quality inspection skills and the ability to measure/read a ruler.
- Basic math, verbal/written communication, computer skills
